Lindeborg Counsellors at Law is a London-based boutique international law firm, highly specialised in public international law and all its subfields, as well as treaty-based dispute settlement, sanctions, politically exposed persons, extradition, mutual legal assistance, exchange controls and restrictions, and asset protection.

Since its inception in 2015, Lindeborg has quickly become the go-to firm for INTERPOL matters, with unparalleled work in the field. We have successfully represented over 100 clients before the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s files (the internal dispute settlement mechanism at INTERPOL) in respect of INTERPOL notices and diffusions. Our founder, Dr Rutsel Silvestre J. Martha, was formerly the General Counsel and Director of Legal Affairs at INTERPOL, and has been recognised by the legal directories as an absolute leader in this field and as leading individual in public international law.

Lindeborg advises and represents States, international organisations, multinational FTSE 100 companies, politically exposed persons, and individuals in contentious and non-contentious matters. We provide general public international law advice, including expert opinions for use in domestic litigation involving the interpretation and application of public international law. We work alongside leading barristers and solicitors in multiple jurisdictions, and this in every region of the world. Finally, Lindeborg retains strong academic links with the public international law community, and our team publishes regularly, including in the most prestigious academic journals. In 2020, the second edition of The Legal Foundations of INTERPOL, the leading treatise on INTERPOL, was published by Hart Publishing. The book is a study of the birth and development of an international organisation, and it situates INTERPOL’s assistance to its members in the law of responsibility.
